Our trek to Ruby Valley starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Gatlang. The trail ascends through dense forests of rhododendrons flowers, hot springs beautiful waterfalls, the Jashor Kunda, Kalo Seto Kunda, and numerous viewpoints. The beautiful jaw-dropping views of the Ganesh Himal and Manaslu Himal ranges can be seen from this region. Ruby Valley is dominated by Gurung, Ghale, Tamang, and Kami in the north whereas Brahmin, Chhetri, Newar, and Chepang in the south offering a diverse culture of different ethnic groups. This trekking route ensures the trekkers a lifetime unforgettable experience. Day 01 Sightseeing in and around Kathmandu( UNESCO heritage sitesIn the morning, you are taken to 4 UNESCO heritage sites after having breakfast. There you get to explore tolerance of different religions and cultures together. First of all, we visit Boudhanath Stupa which is a Buddhist pilgrimage. And then we move toward Hindus Sacred place i.e. the temple of the great Hindu God Shiva – Pashupatinath Temple. Everyday thousands of people visit Pashupatinath Temple. It is most famous Hindu Temple. Now, you enter into the center of Kathmandu to explore the ancient durbars of Malla Kings which is now called Kathmandu Durbar Square. Here you get to see an small glimpse of ancient Nepal. Then you are taken to one of the oldest temple or stupa of Kathmandu Valley and that is Swayambhunath Stupa which is situated on a Swayambhunath. Kathmandu city tour will be completed within 4 to 5 hours. Then we come back to Hotel. Accommodation in ktm at Hotel
Day 02Arrive at Tribubhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu,Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel, and welcome dinner in the evening.
Day 03Drive from Kathmandu to Gatlang by Bus (8-9 hrs ) 2300m you will start your Ruby Valley journey through a drive to Gatlang Village. We will be driving into Langtang National Park, where we must register our trek permits. The 7 to 8 hours scenic drive following the Trisuli Bazaar, Ramche Gaon, and Dhunche is undoubtedly a pleasant ride. The road is a bit narrow and rocky, but the alluring landscape will leave you in awe. We spend the night in Gatlang fother Syabrubesi. The Syabrubesi, being the mid-point of several treks and the border of China, has all the things you might require for the trek. We rest and relax at Gatlang and prepare for our hike the next day overnight in Gatlang.
Day 04Gatlang – Nature walk - Exploration dayWe will stay for a day in this typical and beautiful Tamang village exploring many of its attractions: Nature walk to Chhodingmo (Pervati Kunda ) followed by a meditation session Visit the Palden Druk Galang Chhoding Chhyoling Monastery (an additional 15 minute’s walk from the lake) rest for sometime and proceed for a Buddhism class given by monastery’s head lama. Visit the local Yak cheese factory Village tour including a visit to the museum (community lodge) Observe handicraft manufacturing Visit organic vegetable farms Visit the Visit the local school; interact with the school children, observation of class rooms and teaching followed by volleyball or badminton games with the kids . See the 108 Mani Chhurten. Evening culture program.
Day 05Trek start Gatlang (2,337m / 7,690ft) to , Yuri Kharka (lunch) to Somdang (3,271m / 10,760ft) We begin the hike from Gatlang to Parvati Kunda, a natural alpine freshwater lake. Name Aama Chhodingmo, named after the famous Hindu Goddess Parvati, the wife of Lord Shiva, this beautiful lake is also considered sacred by the local people. As you trek further ahead, the habitat and lodges decrease. However, you might come across very few tourists. We continue the trail through lush pine and rhododendron forest to Yuri Kharka. After a delicious meal at Yuri Kharka, we hike towards the Somdang via Khurphu Bhanjyang. There is a shutdown mine, a few hours' walk from Somdang. Though the mine has not functioned for years, you can still take a look around and explore its astonishing beauty. In the past, this mine used to produce zinc, copper, tin, and crystals (including rubies). We will spend the night at Somdang Valley. The valley is so remote and silent that you will literally find out what silence looks like. Over Night in tea House.
Day 06Trek from Somdang-Pangsang la Pass 3830m ( 4 hours), short day walk from Somdang village will take us to Pangsang Pass. It is the best viewpoint for enjoying the beautiful panoramic views of Manaslu and Ganesh Himal range. We can see the beautiful Ganesh Himal (7422m). In the ancient days, the region was a used to trade herbs and cattle to Tibet. Few lodges are being built at Pangsang Pass but we will stay in our tented camp for the night. Overnight at a tented camp in Pangsang Pass.
Day 07Trek from Pangsang la Pass-Tipling Gaon 2254m (5-6 hrs),Today's walk will be shorter than previous days as we will be mostly descending to Tipling village, another traditional settlement of Tamang people. Once in the village, we will spend the remainder of the day exploring the village where you can get to learn about the Tamang culture. The tradition of Shamanism is still followed here which is called Dhami/Jhakri. You can also get to observe Ghode Nach (Horse Dance) which is said to have its roots in Tibetan history if we are here at the right time. We will interact with the locals, get a glimpse of their lifestyle and taste their warm health Posr. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 08Tipling-Borang Gaon 1800m(6 hoursFrom Tipling, our walk to Shertung and Borang Village(1800M) is an easy, short and leisurely stroll. We first make our way down through the tranquil jungle, cross the AdhiKhola, and then come to the beautiful village of Shertung, which is situated in a beautiful environment. It is a Tamang Village where a few Gurungs, Ghales, and Kamis reside. Shertung means "golden place," and it really is a golden place with a wonderful environment, views, and hospitality. After we take a brief look at Shertung village, we descend a little and reach another beautiful village of Chalish where the residents are the same as Shertung’s. This wonderful village offers plenty of opportunities for exploration as well as opportunities to unwind and take in the breathtaking views of the meadows and green valley below. We spend the night in this beautiful traditional village at one of the homes of the locals. Note: From Borang, you can drive to Kathmandu today if you are short on time and if there are scheduled jeeps available when we reach Borang. Private Jeep can also be hired at an additional cost. Overnight stay Tea House in Borang
Day 09Borang- Gaun – Darkha Phedi – Dhading Besi – Kathmandu. Early in the after breakfast we trek for an hour and reach Darkha Phedi (1349m) from where we will catch a local bus and drive towards Dhading Besi and then finally to Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 10Free day at Kathmandu followed by a farewell dinner Free at Kathmandu,Sightseeing tour to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square and International museum in Kathmandu. -Kathmandu has more World Heritage sites than any other city in the world.Evening together farewell dinner with Typical Nepali Culture
Day 11 Final departureFly Back to Home Country. We will drop you at international airport and see you off and wish you for safe journey for back to home.
