Langtang Village or Langtang Region Before and After the Earthquake and COVID Last Updated Now2023 But, the Langtang valley was one of the most affected areas of the 2015 earthquake of Nepal. The whole valley was buried under the lump of stones and mud resulted due to the landslides and avalanche breakdowns. However, after 9 years of the devastating earthquake, it is on its way to taking back its title and glory of one of the best trekking destinations of Nepal. The locals have rebuilts the village, maintained the trekking trails, Restaurent the teahouse, and made the Langtang village in Langtang Regions safe for trekking, for trekars this area. This area provides you to observe the lifestyles of the peoples with their unique culture, festival, and religion. It offers you to observe different species of birds and animal through the dense forest. As Tamang heritage trail consist of Mostly Tamang peoples, you can observe the lifestyle, culture, festival of a different ethnic group. Tamang Heritage Trail is a great family option, not too demanding or long ( Seven days) and with lots of family-run lodges and cultural interection. The Langtang Valley trek follows the river upstream through forests of pine, bamboo, and rhododendron, ascending through pastures to arrive at the alpine meadows of Kyanjin Gompa, where you’ll get outstanding mountain views just a stone’s throw from the Tibetan border of Langtang Trekking with Guide, Furthermore, As we already mentioned that there are so many choices for trekking the Tamang Heritage Trail, you can head to Ganesh Himal, Ruby Valley Treks through from Gatlang Village. Gatlang village also offers you to observe local house we call (Black Village), cheese factory and monastery and Ganesh Himal, its possible Trek to Manaslu Trekking as well.

Ganesh Himal and Manaslu Trekking Having said that you can also trek to Tibet through from Rasuwa Ghadhi which is the major border for the transportations from Nepal to Tiben and from Tibet to Nepal and you can also head travel to Mt Kailash Tours in Tibet. Our recommendation is to undertake the Tamang Heritage Trail which is a relatively new trek where you get to experience the unique culture of the Tamang people combined with outstanding views and a bath in the hot springs of Chilime. Climbing up to Touche (3600m) one can enjoy an incredibly vast panoramic view over the Tibetan mountains, Trekkinng in Langtang and the Ganesh Himal range. Even though listed separately it is possible to link all of the three treks to one making it a lovely 3-week journey. All trailheads are accessible by bus or private transport from Kathmandu. Hiking times and overnight stops are planned for a moderate hiking pace, and proper acclimatization to altitude.
The Langtang region of Nepal was devastated by the earthquake of 2015 and most of the houses of the villages were torn down. However in the past years, there has been a great effort in rebuilding, thanks also to the economic help brought by tourists, the construction work is being carried. The area is again perfectly suitable and safe for trekkers, with newly built Guest Houses and all Villages houses. The founders of Himalayan Unforgettable Adventures were born in the Langtang region.
