Show All DetailsHelambu trek, a one week trek that can start from and finish in the Kathmandu valley, does not offer superb Mountain scenery but is culturally interesting. The maximum in height reached is 3490m and there is plenty of accommodation along the route although it’s still a good idea to carry sleeping bag.
The helambu trek, A very easy and short trek start near by the Kathmandu city in north called Sudari jal. The trekking in helambu is a very famous with friendly sherpa people in favorite climate. The trail leads the trek to gosainkund lake also need to get a entry as shivapuri Wild life Reserve there. The sundarijal water fall and wild life preserve often attract to the tourist for the sightseeing and Kathmandu people and as there is beauty of nature.
The trek start from 1300mtrs takes you 3600mtrs in high up, but sometimes you may get 800mtrs from the sea level. People from here are diverse many groups as there are many different climate diverse in the mean time. There we meet several highland Tamang and Sherpa villages, scattered on both sides of the Malemchi Khola.
The most important benefit of this trek is that the area is less crowded & free from noise with the comparison to the Annapurna trek or some parts of the Everest treks. Besides, the trek offers a wide range of cultures and spectacular scenery.

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu and check-in to Hotel
Day 02Tour of some of the major tourist attractions in the Kathmandu Valley via car and city tour guide (Swayambunath, Pashupathinath & Bouddhanath)
Day 03Drive one hour Kathmandu to Sundarijal trek start to Chisapani , (2210 m)
Day 04Chisapani to Gul Bhanjyang ( 2130 m )
Day 05Gul Bhanjyang to Mangengoth (3220m )
Day 06Mangengoth to Tharepati (3510m)
Day 07Tharepati to Melamchigaon (2530m )
Day 08Resting day at Melamchigaon visit monastery, school, meditation at hotel
Day 09Melamchigaon to Tarkegyang (2740m)
Day 10Tarkegyang to Semathang (2590m)
Day 11Semathang to Kakani (1996m)
Day 12Kakani to Melamchi Bazar, Drive to Kathmandu
Day 13Sightseeing (Baktapur and Patan afterwards farewell dinner)
Day 14Drive to Tribhuvan International Airport and goodbye ceremony
Day 15Trek from Sundrarijal to Gosaikunda, Langtang Valley and Tamang Heritage Trail Trekking Itineray
Day 01 : Drive to sundarijal and Trek to chisopani ( 4140m.): 3/4hrs.
Drive from Beyond the limits Treks head office in Thamel to Sundari jal for about one hour, enjoying the natural world. Viewing Waterfall, watershed and walking through the Tamang village at Sundarijal will take you to Chisopani which means cold water. The trail from sundarijal goes to the ridge of Shivapuri hill stairs steeply until Borlang Bhanjyang (2423 m) via Tamang settlement Mulkharka. Borland is perfect to have a gorgeous view of Mt.Langtang, Choba Bhamre, Ganchenpo, Shishapangma, Ladies peak, and Dorje Lakpa. From Borlang bhanjyang trail goes another three hundred meter to chisopani. Stay overnight in lodge.
Day 02:Trek from Chisopani to Kutumsang (2446m) 6/7 hours, overnight lodge (B/L/D).
After breakfast trek to Kutumsang which takes about seven hours. The trail continues to drop from Chisopani on a good, sometimes level, trail that crosses meadow and fields. You will then descend through Pathi Bhanjyang till Gul Bhanjyang. The trail climbs the ridge from Gul Bhanjyang to another pass at 2620m. The meadow makes a good camping spot, its downhill to Kutumsang at 2470m, in a saddle atop the ridge, Overnight at tea house/lodge.
Day 03 : Trek from Kutumsang to Thare pati(3650m) 5/6 hours
After breakfast trek to Thara pati which takes about five hours. The trek continues north up the Yurin Danda ridge and affords views of the peaks. The trail climbs above Kutumsang on a steep, eroded trail mostly through fir and rhododendron forest where there are no permanent settlements. Now you will be in Tharepati. There are few lodges and Goths (Domestic Animal Shed), Overnight Tea house.
Day 04: Tharepati to Phedi (3690meter) 5-6 Hours
After having breakfast in Lodge in tharepati the trail go little down and walking Nepali flat with oak forest and bamboo forest have lunch in Ghopte and trek to Phedi over night at lodge with B/L/D
Day 05: Phedi to Gosaikunda
Having breakfast at the hotel and departure for Gosaikunda. You will climb up to Lauribinaya pass 4610 meters and decent to Gosaikunda holy lake. Overnight lodge B/L/D.
Day 06: Trek Gosaikunda to Thulo shyabru( 2210meter ) 6\7 hours
After breakfast trek down to Thulo shyabru enjoying the view of the Himalaya range and forest overnight at the Thulo shyabru.
Day 07: Thulo shyabru trek to Lama hotel 6\7 hours. After the breakfast at shyabru village walking throw the shyabru village and forest enjoying the view of the Langtang river reached Lama hotel overnight lodge B/T/D .
Day 08: Lama Hotel trek to Langtang village ( 3438Meter ) 6 hours. After breakfast, your trekking will start for begging you walking throw the forest and flow the Langtang river when you will be in ghoratabela in your lunch place, you will see the Langtang Lirung mountain and another peak more than a 7000m mountain you will see walk Nepali flat than you arrive Langtang Village overnight Lodge B/T/D
Day 09: Langtang village to kyanjing gomba (3830M) 4 hours
Waking up with sun rising mountain may make you so glad to come to this area with some hard days of drive and walk the route washed by the earthquake. As we have breakfast shortly packed baggage and head towards to short trek to Kyanjin Gompa. Walking far makes that you leaving some mountains and encountering more mountains and slowing disappearing trees and appearing small shrubs and bush grew on this altitude makes scenery so amazing within every hour. Kyanjin Gompa welcome us with Kynjin ri and terkuri behind and langtang, Yala peak and Naya Khang on the side with horse buffering fields will another fabulous experience to be here in mid-afternoon. Overnight at lodge B/T/D
Day 10; Explure day in Kyangjin gompa
Explore Kyanjin Ri viewpoint (4600m, back to Kyanjin Gompa – 2,4 hours. Today we will visit one of the two viewpoints you can choose what you prefer it (depending on your level of fitness and your wishes) that will give you superb views over the highest mountain range in the world. In the evening we will return to Kyanjin Gompa. Overnight stay same lodge.
Day 11: Tergo Ri viewpoint 4984m), back to Kyanjin Gompa – 4-8 hours.
Explore Kyanjin Ri or Tsergo Ri viewpoint (4984m), back to Kyanjin Gompa – 4-8 hours. Today we will visit one of the two viewpoints you can choose what you prefer it (depending on your level of fitness and your wishes) that will give you superb views over the highest mountain range in the world. In the evening we will return to Kyanjin Gompa. Overnight stay the same lodge.
Day 12: Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2470m) 6-7 hours. today, we set to come back to Kathmandu and make our trek back from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel after having breakfast. After 6-7 hours walk, we reach on Lama Hotel. Overnight stay in Lama Hotel at lodge
Day 13: Lama Hotel to Briddhim
Day 14: Briddhim to Thumen
Day 15: Thumen to Nagthali
Day 16 : Nagthali to Tatopani
Day 17: Tatopani to Gatlang 5 hours
Day 18: Explore in Gatlang. Nature walk Explore day one more day stay in Gatlang you can experience the following activities) Gatlang – Nature walk - Exploration: We will stay for a day in this typical and beautiful Tamang village exploring many of its attractions: Nature walk to Pervati Kunda followed by a meditation session; visit to the Palden Druk Gatlang Chhoding ChholingbMonastry (an additional 15 minutes walk from the lake), rest for some time and proceed for a Buddhism given enjoye at monastery. visit the local Yak cheese factory Village tour including a visit to the local (community lodge); observe handicraft manufacturing; visit organic vegetable farms; development; visit the local school; interact with the school children, observation of class rooms and teaching followed by volleyball or badminton games with the kids. See the 108 Mani Churten (stupa’s). Experience the traditional Tamang culture and lifestyle and have a panoramic view of Mt. Langtang Lirung, Tibet Range and other mountain peaks. The village most of the houses are made up of stone and have roofs of wood and stone before earthquake 2015. Galang village. We stay one more days in Gatlang you can experience following activities) Option: typical and beautiful Tamang village exploring many of its attractions: Nature walk to Pervati Kunda followed by a meditation session Visit the Palden Druk Galang Chhoding Chhyolihng Monastry (an additional 15 minute’s walk from the lake) rest for sometime and proceed. Visit the local Yak cheese factory Village tour including a visit to the community center ) Observe handicraft manufacturing Visit organic vegetable farms. Here too you will get a chance to see exceptional cultural show which makes your trip a memorable one we should tell them for cultural program. Gatlang that rises on a hillside amid the terraced fields is a Tamang community. See the 108 Mani Churte. We stay one more night in Gatlang at the Paldor Peak Guest House run by a my family.
Days 19: visit the local Yak cheese factory Village tour including a visit to the khurpu dhada and have a panoramic view of Mt. Ganech Himals, Paldor Peak, Langtang Lirung, Tibet Range and other mountain peaks as well. Back to Village and vivit handicraft manufacturing if you want; visit organic vegetable farms; development; visit the local school; interact with the school children, observation of class rooms and teaching followed by volleyball or badminton games with the kids. See the 108 Mani Churten (stupa’s). Experience the traditional Tamang culture and lifestyle
Days 20: Gatlang to Kathmandu by bus 8 hours
Days 21 : Sightseeing in and around Kathmandu. Option: Sightseeing in and around Kathmandu Valley Kathmandu Valley sightseeing tour to world heritage sites; Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, The area has an amazing range of fascinating highlights, whatever your interest. Excellent bookshops, extensive markets, and novelty and handicraft shops contrast with fantastic centers of cultural and spiritual significance - Kathmandu has more World Heritage sites than any other city in the world. Stay overnight in Kathmandu .
Day 22: Sightseeing in and around Kathmandu. Sightseeing tour to world heritage sites; Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swoyambhunath (known as a monkey temple among westerners). The area has an amazing range of fascinating highlights, whatever your interest. Excellent bookshops, extensive markets, and novelty and handicraft shops contrast with fantastic centers of cultural and spiritual significance - Kathmandu has more World Heritage sites than any other city in the world.
