The Annapurna Sanctuary short Trek with Children's is the perfect trek. Your children will thoroughly enjoy the breathtaking mountain views, beautiful landscape, and diverse cultures while learning important lessons in life. The trek is suitable for all people with sound physical health, and the same goes for the children. However, children less than 8, 9 years old are not advised for the trek, mainly due to the altitude.
North of Pokhara, one of the finest of Himalayan journeys is the classic trek into the inner sanctum of the Annapurnas. Here, giant peaks such as the 8000 meters Annapurna 1, as well as Annapurna South, Gangapurna and Machhapuchhre, encircle the natural amphitheater known as the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. Combining the trek into the Sanctuary with a visit to Ghorepani and the classic Himalayan viewpoint of Poon Hill, this trek manages to cram the full range of Nepalese trekking experiences into 10 varied days of walking. We encounter sub-tropical forest teeming with wildlife, pretty villages with their neatly terraced rice fields, as well as pleasant ridge walking and spectacular Himalayan panoramas. Passing through the 'gates' of the Sanctuary, we ascend briefly above 4000 meters into a world of ice and snow where we are surrounded by giant Himalayan summits.
The Annapurna Sanctuary starts from Kathmandu to Pokhara by flying and start trek onward. Along the journey, you and your children can enjoy the stunning views of the Annapurna range, Mt. Machhapuchhre (6993m), Mt. Hiunchuli (6443m), Tilicho Peak (7134m), and many other snowy peaks. Trek to Annapurna short takes you through, Rhododendron flowers blooms which will excite and entertain your children. The waterfall, rivers, glaciers, frozen trails, suspension bridges, and the forests will certainly turn your child into great storytellers. This trek will take your family to two base camps, Annapurna Base Camp and Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Apart from this, interacting with other children from the Himalayan region, and playing with chicken and goats will carve a long lasting memory in your child's mind. The itinerary is given below:
Day 1: Kathmandu to Pothana (1990m, 22km)
Pokhara by flight, drive to Phedi and start trek to Pothana for overnight stay. 30 minutes flight, an hour drive and 4/5 hours uphill trek.
Day 2: Trek to Jhinu Danda(1780m, 13 km, 6/7 hours)
Enjoy your breakfast with a pleasant sunrise view, and continue trek Jhinu Danda via Tolkha and Landruk village
.
Day 3: Trek to Dovan (2,800m, 12km, 6/7 hours)
Breakfast and trek uphill to Chhomrong and steep descend to Chhomrong Khola. Cross it, and again trek steep uphill to Sinuwa. The walk ascends and descends to Bamboo through dense forest to Bamboo (2,310m). Then continue through the uninhabited forest up to Dovan.
Day 4: Trek to ABC (4130m, 12km, 7/8 hours) via MBC (3,730m)
Breakfast and trek all uphill to Annapurna Base Camp via Machhapuchhare Base Camp. The trek distance covers 12km takes 7/8 hours
.
Day 5: Trek Down to Chhomrung (1,980m, 17km, 7/8 hours)
Early morning wake up, enjoy the views of Annapurna Himalayas, breakfast and trek down to Chhomrung.
Day 6: Chhomrung to Pokhara. (910m, 1o km)
Trek to Siwai and drive back to Pokhara (910m). We trek nearly 10km on foot takes 4/5 hours to Siwai and drive 55km takes 2/3 hours by jeep.
Day 7: Flight back to Kathmandu
Early in the morning, we will see the sunrise at Sarangkot from where we can have a pleasant view. We can see the clear view of Mt.Dhaulagiri, Mt. Nilgiri and Annapurna range, Lamjung Himal from Saragkot and back to the hotel. Sightseeing in Pokhara around the lakeside. And in the afternoon we fly back to Kathmandu

Day 01Arrive at Tribubhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, (1,300mTransfer to the hotel, will organize a Welcome Dinner at an excellent traditional Nepalese restaurant where we enjoy a Nepalese cultural program as well as a fine meal. Included meal: Dinner (B, B )
Day 02Flight Kathmandu to Pokhara (910m/: 25 min, Same day transfer to Namapul and Trek to Tikhedunga Transfer to Kathmandu’s domestic airport for a morning flight to Pokhara along the Himalayan Range. Same day Transfer to Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1,495m/4 ,905ft)- Ulleri (1,950m/1½ hrs drive (45 km), 5-6 hrs trek, 10 km. After reching pokhara, drive along the zigzag route to Nayapul where we commence our trek from Birethanti, a large and prosperous riverside village at the confluence of the Modi and Bhurungdi Kholas (streams). We hike up to Sudame along the off road and then climb gradually up the side of the valley, Tikhedhunga. Cross suspension metal bridge and steep ascent on stone staircases to the village of Ulleri – and an amazing landscape of valley floor where we came during the day with marvelous views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. Overnight stay in Ulleri, Tirkhedunga at Tea house ( B, L, D)
Day 03Tikhedhunga, Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,850m: 5-6 hours ~11kmAfter breakfast, our pleasant trekking begins through rhododendron and oak forests. The scenery will give you the energy to continue up the steps as you immerse yourself in the walk. After a few hours and with several breaks we reach Ghorepani. Upper Ghorepani (Deurali) where we stay in this trip, offers fantastic views of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna Himalayas. Overnight in Ghorepani at Lodge ( L.D.B)
Day 04Hiking walk up to Poon hill (3,210m 2,3 hours. Make a pre-dawn start for the 45-minute walk up to Poon hill (3,210m/10,530ft); through rhododendron forest. From the grassy top of the hill there is an unobstructed panoramic view of the high Himalayas stretching from far western Dolpo, and Dhaulagiri (8,172m/26,812ft), the Annapurna Range in the north, including Machhapuchhare (Fish Tail) and on to Manaslu (8,163m/26,783ft) in the northeast. To the south, the mist slowly rises from the flatlands towards India. After countless photographs, walk back to Ghorepani for breakfast. The day enjoying views and with rhododendron forest. Day 05Ghorepani to Tadapani ( (2,520m/ 6-7 hours12km) The eastward trail to Tadapani crosses numerous ridges through thick pine and rhododendron forest with occasional flat sections and wonderful views of the snow peaks to the north from high ground. Overnight at Tadapani at Teahouse ( B, L, D)
Day 06Tadapani to Chhomrong (2,112m/5-6 hours 12kmThe trail turns north to Chiule before dropping to cross the Kimrong Khola on a suspension bridge and then gradually climbs into the forested Modi Khola Valley that carries glacial melt waters from the Annapurna Sanctuary. After lunch at the Gurung village of Talung, undulate for another 1½hrs, sometimes on stair cases up to the charming agricultural village of Chhomrong: the largest settlement in the valley. Views of the upper valley plus Annapurna South and Himal Chuli gradually come into view. Overnight in Chhomrong at Lodge( L.D.B
Day 07Chhomrong to Dovan 2505M) 6-7 hours 11kmChhomrong to Dovan via Sinuwa danda, and bamboo walking Stay in Dovan. Overnigt in Dovan at Teahouse (B,L,D)
Day 08Dovan to MBC (4700m). 5 hoursThe trail goes past the Machapuchare Base Camp all the way up to the Annapurna Base Camp. The base camp is in a narrow grassy valley surrounded by mountains and also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary. Overnight stay in MBC at Tea house (B, L, D,
Day 09Machhapuchhre Base camp to Annapurna Base Camp (4130 m). 2/3 hours Trek to ABC (4130 mtr. 2/3 hoursWe walking) early morning to Annapurna Base Camp for best view of snowcapped mountain Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Gangapurna, tent peak, Annapurna south, Himchuli etc. then trek back to Himalaya stay in Himalaya. Overnight at Teahouse (B, L, D ).
Day 10Himalaya to Jinu danda (1740m) 7 hours Trek back to Jinu dada there are natural hot springs about 20 minutes away to relax Bath and Stay in Jinu danda overnight at Tea House. (B, L, D)
Day 11Jhinu to Ghandruk Phedi– Pokhara (910m/: 5-6 hours ~12km, 2 hours drive, 55km. After breakfast, Cross the Modi Khola on a suspension bridge and trek through shady forest to Ghandruk Phedi (1,150m a jeep and say farewell to your porters. An hour’s off road drive leads to Nayapul and the paved road to Pokhara: and your Hotel in Lakeside. Overnight in Pokhara/Lakeside at Lodge ( B, L, D)
Day 12Resting day in PokharaToday early in the morning we drive to Sarangkot hill to see the sunrise over the mountain in the rear view. After seeing sunrise, we drive back to Hotel have breakfast and whole day we will explore the Pokhara city which includes Gupteswor Cave, David Fall, Seti River Gorge, Mountain Museum and last but not the least do boating in Fewa lake and go to Barahi Temple. Pokhara offers the magnificent vista of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Machhapuchhare , surrounding views of these mountains from Sarangot and Paragliding starting from this place if want along with many others. Pokhara is also the gateway to Annapurna Region . In the evening, we will walk around the lakeside in Pokhara. Overnight stay in Pokhara at Hotel. D, B)
Day 13 Back from Pokhara to Kathmandu (200 km. 6/7 hours drive by tourist bus at 7:30 am from pokhara to kathmandu. And stay overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu city
Day 14 OPTION 10 Days
Day 01: Flight Kathmandu to Pokhara (910m/: 25 min Transport to domestic airport for a morning flight to Pokhara along the Himalayan Range. Transport to hotel. Afternoon If you prefer we can visit some Japanese world peace temple, Tibetan camp, Devid foll and lakeside City. You will have free time in the evening. And final trek preparation. Overnight in Pokhara( B.B.

Day 06: Chhomrong to Himalaya Hotel (2,920m/9,578ft): 6-7 hrs, ~12km. After breakfast, the trail drops to cross the Chhomrong Khola and then ascends to the pretty village of Sinuwa. Thereafter the trail enters the upper Modi Khola Valley through dense forests of cane, rhododendron and oak. It rises then drops to the village of Bamboo (2,310m/7,580ft) on the banks of the river: a prefect lunch spot. After lunch, continue up through uninhabited forest to Dobhan, later crossing several avalanche chutes before reaching the small village of Himalaya Hotel. Overnight in Himalaya Hotel at Lodge( L.D.B .
Day 07: Himalaya Hotel to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,546ft): 6-7 hrs, ~10km.
As the altitude increases, forest gives way to alpine scrub and grasses. The valley walls steepen with the river raging far below. Explore the cave at Hinku before crossing a ravine and major avalanche track prior to reaching Deorali (3,230m/10,598ft). Breathtaking views into the sacred Annapurna Sanctuary gradually appear as the trail heads over a ridge and climbs to the Machhapuchhare Base Camp (3,700m/12,136ft). Another two hours slow walk up grassy slopes leads to the Annapurna Base Camp hotels on the Annapurna South glacial moraine: some 3,900m/12,800ft beneath the peaks crowning the surrounding ice walls Overnight in ABC at Lodge (L.D.B.
Day 08: Annapurna Base Camp to Sinuwa (1,980m/6,495ft): 7-8 hrs ~15km.
A pre-dawn wakeup call promises unforgettable views and photo opportunities from the rim of the glacier. A circle of peaks from Hiunchuli, past Annapurna South to the vast ice wall topped by Annapurna I (8,097m/26,566ft) and Khangsar Kang tower above you, round to Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Machhapuchhare. Below, in its U-shaped valley the glacier grinds relentlessly. After breakfast, retrace your steps down to Sinuwa for a hot shower and more comfortable night.
Day 09: Sinwa to Ghandruk Phedi– Pokhara (910m/2,985ft): 5-6 hrs ~12km, 2- 3hrs drive, 55km. After breakfast, drop to the Chhomrong Khola and climb the stone staircases to Chhomrong. Then descend steeply to Jhinu Danda for Lunch. Cross the Modi Khola on a suspension bridge and trek through shady forest to Ghandruk Phedi (1,150m/3,770ft) – a jeep and say farewell to your porters. An hour’s off road drive leads to Nayapul and the paved road to Pokhara: and your Hotel in Lakeside. Overnight in Pokhara/Lakeside at Lodge.
Day 10: Pokhara to Kathmandu by Tourist Bus (6-7 hrs): 220km.
